Mont St. Joseph Foundation is a registered, nonprofit charity, directed by a volunteer Board of Trustees composed of people from this community. Currently, our Foundation has 10 members, and one staff member.
Mont St Joseph Home is an affiliate of Saskatchewan Health Authority that receives minimal capital funding to acquire and/or replace equipment and furnishings required to provide a safe and comfortable environment. The reality is that Government funding must be supported by our community’s generosity if we are to meet the holistic needs of our residents. It is why the Mont St. Joseph Foundation exists – to ask people, businesses and groups to remember Mont St. Joseph Home when making charitable donations. Your contributions make such a difference in the people who live here today – or tomorrow.
In 2022/2023 the Foundation was able to contribute to the Home in the following ways:
$161,000 in Furnishing and Equipment upgrades
$43,500 to Spiritual Care
$34,700 to Community Relations
$18,900 to Development and Training
$1,300 to Charitable Scholarships
All support was made possible with the generous support of our local community members, organizations and business partners. Mont St. Joseph Home identifies equipment and furnishings that must be replaced or purchased for the care, safety, comfort and well being of our residents. Along with the need for physical care, our Foundation and Home also focus on the importance of a strong Spiritual Care program which is why our Foundation financially supports the Home’s Director of Spiritual Care position. This role serves all of our 120 Residents, families, staff and even other organizations within our community and the Saskatchewan Health Authority.
Our Mission is to give and receive care and compassion for mind, body and spirit based on Catholic ethics and Christian values.
