Tree of Love

Thank you for your extreme generosity this Christmas Season. Many of you donated in memory or in honour of your loved ones. We hang your messages on our Tree of Love for all of us here at MSJ to remember & honour your loved ones with you. With your support our Foundation raised $18,400 with this year fundraiser that will all go towards the equipment & furnishing needs of Mont St Joseph Home.

Without your continued support where would we be?! Thank You!

Dear Family & Friends of MSJ Home,

Christmas is the time of year to celebrate the birth of Jesus.  It is time for family, for love, sharing and giving.  It is a blessed time when each of us can open our hearts to the needs of others.

For the Mont St. Joseph (MSJ) Foundation, Christmas is also the time of year for our “Tree of Love” Campaign.  We are proud of this campaign because it provides the opportunity to honour that “special” someone near and dear to your heart! Your support empowers our Foundation to purchase equipment and furnishings that provide a safe and comfortable environment for our Residents.  It supports spiritual care, special transportation and other needs that enhance the quality of life for every Resident in our Home.

In hopes that you choose to participate in this giving opportunity, we have enclosed two Tree of Love ornaments. Display one on your Christmas tree as a token of our appreciation.  Return the second ornament with the name of the person you wish to remember or honour along with your personal message. It will be displayed on our Tree of Love in the main hall by the Holy Family Chapel.  Residents, families, volunteers, visitors and staff can read your message and remember and honour your loved one too!

This year’s Tree of Love’s goal is to raise $30,000. Your donation will be directed towards the many special needs of our Residents. It will help make it possible to meet the holistic needs of our Residents. For any donation of $100 or more you will receive a copy of our history book “Mom Lives Here.” The author Therese Jelinski is a former Chairperson of MSJ Home who is a strong supporter of our Mission.

In Prince Albert, we are blessed to have a community that supports the people we serve. We are grateful for the support you have provided to MSJ Home. We are hoping that during this very busy season you are able to consider donation to this very special giving opportunity.   Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world.   Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.

On behalf of our Foundation and everyone who lives and works at Mont St. Joseph Home, I wish you and your loved ones special memories as you celebrate this Christmas.

Together, we can make a difference.

Merry Christmas,

Ron Bergen, Chair Person
